Getting Your Contact Lens Fit Right
Contact lenses can be a great alternative to glasses, allowing you to enjoy the same vision correction you’ve become accustomed to. Precision EyeCare & Optical offers comprehensive contact lens exam and fitting services to help you find the right lenses for your needs.
We offer specialty contact lenses, such as scleral lenses, for those who have had trouble comfortably wearing contact lenses because of issues like dry eye and keratoconus. We also offer other specialty contacts like ortho-k lenses for kids with myopia.
Finding the right lenses for comfort and vision correction is crucial—contact us to schedule your appointment today.
Request AppointmentHow Contact Lenses Can Help
Like glasses, contact lenses correct refractive errors, such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia(farsightedness), presbyopia, and astigmatism.
Some specialty contacts, like scleral lenses, can also provide benefits for your eyes that go beyond vision, such as dry eye relief. During your exam, we will review your lifestyle and preferences to help you find the right contact lenses for your needs.
Our Fitting Technology
Our goal is to provide you with contact lenses that fit your lifestyle and visual needs, using our fitting technology and a wide range of specialty lenses. We will also teach you how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
Whether you’re new to contact lenses or looking to explore advanced options, Precision EyeCare & Optical is here to help you achieve the perfect fit.
TopCon Corneal Topography
Corneal topography provides a detailed map of the curvature of your eye’s surface. This technology helps us accurately assess your eye’s unique shape and determine the best fit for your contact lenses.
Identifying irregularities in your cornea helps us recommend contact lenses that fit you comfortably and safely.
ZEISS Anterior Segment OCT
OCT technology provides our team with high-resolution images of the front of your eye, including the cornea, iris, and lens. This noninvasive test enables us to detect early signs of eye diseases, such as glaucoma and keratoconus, and monitor the progression of these conditions.
Early detection is key and can make a huge difference in preserving your long-term vision.
Our Specialty Contact Lens Options
Contact lenses typically fall under 2 categories: soft and rigid, gas-permeable (RGP). Specialty lenses are also sorted into these categories. In addition to scleral lenses and ortho-k lenses for kids with myopia, we offer several types of contact lenses to help address various vision issues.
Helping you find the right contacts for your needs is important to us. We will ask you questions, listen to your concerns, and examine your eyes in detail to find the right pair for your needs.
Scleral Contact Lenses
Scleral lenses are RGP lenses that sit on the sclera, the white part of your eyes, instead of directly on your cornea like traditional contacts.
Scleral contacts can be an excellent option for people who have trouble wearing contacts due to eye conditions like dry eye and keratoconus. They are wider than traditional lenses, vaulting over the cornea to create a fluid reservoir. With their unique shape, scleral lenses can provide extra breathability, comfort, and hydration.
Ortho-K Contact Lenses
Ortho-k lenses gently reshape the cornea during sleep, reducing the need for glasses or traditional contact lenses during the day. These lenses are particularly beneficial for children and young adults.
Ortho-k lenses can provide numerous benefits, including slowed myopia progression. Our team will walk you and your child through the entire process of using ortho-k lenses, so you’ll know what to expect.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
Multifocal contact lenses contain multiple prescriptions to correct multiple vision issues in one lens. They’re often recommended for those who have presbyopia combined with other refractive errors, like nearsightedness or farsightedness.
With multiple prescriptions in a single lens, you can switch between activities that require vision at different distances without changing your contacts, such as reading and driving.
Toric Contact Lenses
Astigmatism can make finding the right contact lenses challenging, but toric lenses are specifically designed to address this condition. Unlike regular lenses, toric lenses have different powers in various sections of the lens, allowing for targeted correction of astigmatism.
They are also weighted to help maintain the correct position on your eye so they can provide stable, clear vision throughout the day.
Aspheric & Hybrid Contact Lenses
Aspheric lenses are designed with an advanced optical surface that reduces spherical aberrations—a common issue where light rays entering the eye focus at different points, causing blurred vision.
Hybrid lenses combine the best features of soft lenses and rigid, gas-permeable (RGP) lenses, offering both comfort and superior vision quality. The center of a hybrid lens is made of a rigid material that provides clear vision, particularly for those with astigmatism, keratoconus, or other corneal conditions.
